Community and Clinical Work

Rooted in the Jesuit mission, ¶¶Òõpro’s Doisy College of Health Sciences collaborates across disciplines and departments to serve the surrounding community.

Our programs offer undergraduate and graduate students the chance to influence and impact the community through academic and volunteer opportunities.

Students gain experience in their discipline while providing health care services to the community through the speech-language and hearing clinic, among others. In addition, they educate elementary-age children in St. Louis public schools about nutrition and gardening, run a community café and participate in food innovations.

800 Clinical Education Sites

The Doisy College of Health Sciences offers a variety of degree programs that prepare future health care professionals who positively impact people every day.

Doisy College programs have access to 800 different clinical education sites around the St. Louis metro area. Students gain patient care experience in prestigious hospitals such as SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital, Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Missouri Baptist Medical Center and SSM Health ¶¶Òõpro Hospital.

Along with hospital experience, students have opportunities in private practices, laboratories and high school and professional sports teams, like the St. Louis Cardinals.
